Anytime Fitness Cleveland.

Nearly ten years at breakeven, then a move into a brand-new development. We relaunched Cleveland as a new club and more than doubled it.

[ The story ]

The brief in 30 seconds.

Cleveland was known as a great community club with tired bones. The move gave us a chance to reset how the whole bayside saw it.

01 · The problem

Loved, but tired.

Prospects were cautious before presale. The club had to be reintroduced with a refreshed identity and a clear story about the upgrade.

02 · The play

Two products, not one.

New socials, new Google profiles and a new product-market fit, with a 12-week campaign storyboarded in advance and shipped in weekly segments.

03 · The result

700 to 1,838.

In 12 weeks, with only 60 members dropping off through the move. The goal has since shifted to 3,000.

[ The climb ]

On the way to 3,000.

Where Cleveland started, where the presale took it, and the goal the club has set for itself since.

Twelve weeks, planned upfront.

With more than $75,000 on Meta alone, frequency was the risk. We storyboarded the whole presale in advance, then shipped it in weekly segments so every week brought something new.

Pivot every week, not every month

Weekly segments let us stay in contact with the team on the ground and swap in fresh artboards, videos and messaging the moment engagement dipped.

[ The split ]

Not a move. A new club.

We separated the two products entirely, so existing members felt the upgrade and new prospects saw a premium club in its own right.

For existing members

You're moving somewhere better.

  • Clear communication about the upgraded space
  • Honouring the community they built
  • Only 60 members dropped off through the move
For new prospects

Meet your new local club.

  • Brand-new social pages
  • New Google Business Profiles for reviews and search
  • Local faces, community stories and the Cleveland lifestyle

These results are a credit to the Cleveland owner, and club team, who moved a whole community into a new home. We're lucky to have played a small role in an epic project.
